The finned aluminium centre section of the case acts as a heat-sink, providing optimum cooling of motor and servo electronics even at extremely high loads. This extends the useful life of the servo, and reduces the risk of failure of the motor and electronics. The metal gearbox with twin-ballraced output shaft makes the servo extremely robust, and an ideal choice for applications where the servos are subjected to severe shock loads (e.g. steering systems in RC model cars, large-scale model aircraft with large, heavy control surfaces).
